QATMA: Famous Village between Afrin and Azaz

QATMA (Katma قاطمة أو قطمه) - a place in Kurd-Dagh between Afrin and Azaz close Aleppo in the northwest of Syria. The village Qatma is known with his railway station (railroad station), olive groves and the thirst of his inhabitants for education and knowledge.

QATMA (Katma قاطمة أو قطمه) - ein Ort in Kurd-Dagh zwischen Afrin und Azaz nahe Aleppo im Nordwesten Syriens. Das Dorf  Qatma ist bekannt mit seinem Bahnhof (Eisenbahn-Station), Olivenhainen und der Durst seiner Einwohner nach Bildung und Wissen.

Syrian Kurdistan in the international railway network: The station of Qatma was built shortly before the First World War by the German Railway. Syria and Western Kurdistan at that time still belonged to the Ottoman Empire. The picture is probably from the years 1912-1925.

Syrisch Kurdistan im internationalen Eisenbahnnetz: Der Bahnhof von Qatma wurde kurz vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg durch die Deutsche Reichsbahn gebaut. Syrien und Westkurdistan gehörten damals noch dem Osmanischen Reich. Das Bild stammt vermutlich aus den Jahren 1912-1925.
